An eBay purchase for some off-roading – again I place much of the inspiration from my cousin. After fitting it out with decent tyres, and various other bits, I strapped it onto a rack on the back of the Audi for a very cold weekend in Wales. The Aprilia seized after about 1 mile of riding, and even after returning to it a couple of hours later, was still solid. When free-wheeling down the hill to the cottage, I accidentally knocked it into gear, snapping the con-rod in the process. Was sold on in this state – not a very successful ownership experience.
